mikenick : It depends on what firmware version you have (baseband). Go to settings -> about ->modem firmware is 2.28 then Gevey SIM fails to work. 2.11 is fine with current Gevey SIMs. If 2.11 (firmware 2.1) then it can be used in any country (GSM)…

I’m new here and need help. I bought the 3g iphone and i did the upgrade by itunes. Now i’m giving it as a present, but to whom i’m giving it is going to used it out of the country with another carrier. What do i have to do and buy? I had bought the 3g gevey un cut sim. Can i use it ?

Gaurav : you have to be more specific – if its a 2G or 3G iPhone. Anyway, pwnage 2.0.2 will be released today which will aid you in unlocking 2G iPhone! No unlock for 3G iPhone yet (S/w unlock I mean)…
