Download Custom Firmware iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4 [Windows/Mac]

20 October 2010 10 Comments

Update : The latest version of Redsn0w (Windows) can enable that tricky DFU mode on Windows! Macs can use the Pwnage tool to create the custom firmware itself…

Warning : This isn’t for the faint of heart. I did not post a detailed writeup cos’ DFU mode is kinda tricky on this one. If you know what this is and what it means, go ahead and try this. All others, please wait while other Windows users verify this.

The links are all interchangeable and you have all the mirrors you can ever think of! Use hj-split to join the files.

Kiran, I tried with DFU mode on my iphone 4, error 1601 ? windows 7 PC

Please use tinyumbrella to kick it out of restore mode. As I mentioned, I haven't tested on Windows and DFU complications exist with Windows. sn0wbreeze may help (once they add iPhone 4 support).

Hey Kiran, I would like to know which version is for official carriers? The one reading: "[Official iPhone carriers]", reads "Activated" in the description. Shouldn't it be the other way around?!

    Thnx a lot in advance,
    Keep up the good work.
