iPhone 4S – Same Looks, Packs a Punch, Drives AAPL/Apple.com Down

4 October 2011 2 Comments

The much awaited new iPhone announcement left quite a few iPhone 5 hopefuls angry. Media hyped the iPhone 5 craze and every one but Apple were shocked to see the end result.

iPhone 4S is certainly a great iDevice with some great hardware upgrades minus the much desired 4 inch screen. Rumors of a design overhaul didn’t sit too well with the investors after the iPhone 4S announcement, AAPL is trading at $355.06 right at this instant. apple.com is more likely DoS’ed with the millions of users hitting the site from all over the world. All I got was ‘Access Denied’ (for the past 35 minutes).

Some of the striking features of iPhone 4S that make it a worthy investment till iPhone 5 hits the scene (2012) are :

  • Dual-core A5 Processor
  • 8 MP Camera, 1080P Video
  • Siri (AI based speech recognition/dictation – iOS 5 exclusive feature)
  • World Phone (GSM+CDMA)
  • 64GB Variant for all those 8MP pictures/video

Priced at $199 (16GB), $299 (32GB), $399 (64GB), the iPhone 4S will definitely sell few million units this quarter (Q4 2011) when it goes for pre-order this October 7th with an October 14th delivery.
