Apple is finally letting you buy a factory unlocked iPhone 4S directly from their website. I believe this is a much better deal if you are not eligible for an upgrade and are looking for a good resale value when you are ready for the next best iPhone! I would buy it online for some cashback and the convenience of the iPhone being shipped to our doorstep.

There is a catch though – it is a world phone but limited to GSM worldwide.
How about some cashback?

Siri, the intelligent personal assistant equipped on every iPhone 4S is a real treat. She does a great job an intern does for you, for free! Apple experienced difficulties catering to the first day Siri utilization – it just didn’t work (at least int he East Coast) for about 3~4 hours before she started doing what she does best.

Siri is an intelligent engine that learns as you use it. So, don’t expect wonders on day one though she played nice with whatever I threw at her. Following are my attempts …

Steve Jobs passed away around 734PM EST today, October 5th, 2011. The alert on my iPhone (AP breaking news) was shocking to say the least. The man of the century when it comes to technological advancement is no more. The way he transitioned his responsibilities shows how great of a man he is. Steve Jobs, sir you will always be in our hearts.

Charging cables are always a pain to carry and it is even worse when you have to carry multiple cables for different devices. Apple finally bowed to the pressure from the European campaign to standardize the charging cables. It is retailing at £8.00 at Apple’s UK stores and hopefully it makes its way into the US stores soon. This is beneficial to those who use 2 devices : Android and Apple and prefer to carry one cable.
