I heard that Jailbreakme.com is taken down. You might want to try iphone.unlock.no instead.. It should work but hey, I recommend the above two links, its fast and easy!

@ javO : I suggest you upgrade to 1.1.3 via iTunes and use iJailbreak/ZiPhone to jailbreak for the installer.app!!

I did the ziphone jailbreak, and it works fine but, there is no installer icon showing. Only the Z icon is showing. Can u help me please?

chris : the icon should show in the secnd page probably, just flick to the second page on the homescreen( u shud c 2 , 3 dots at the bottom of the screen…)…
So Kirian: maybe you should organize somehow the Blog in order to not see the same questions many, many times, (e.g. maybe grouping them into what to do if you have used ziphone and what to do if you have used iPlus)
So for the firmware 1.1.4
1. I’ve used iPlus, everything its fine, its unlocked
2. I need installer.app (but without downgrading to 1.1.1 since I wanna keep my latest firmware verion). So I dont wanna go from my iPhone to ‘http://jailbreakme.com/‘ since it will make the downgrade.
What do I have to do ?
I’ve used iLiberty+ 1.3 (latest) as u said.
But how do I manage now to get ‘installer.app’ and see its icon on my desktop?

Well, if you have used iLiberty+ – the installer.app icon should be showing on the home screen – Launch iLiberty+ and check the Jailbreak, Activate, installer check box and repeat the process… 1.1.1 is totally dead and so is jailbreakme.com…
aah, but I dont have installer.app
I’ve used the latest version(s): iLiberty+ 1.3 for Windows (released 2008.4.7)

and I’ve checked all options (except the latest one, dont remember what was it) .I dont have any new icon(s) on the desktop.
Should I repeat the procedure again and see if there wasnt something which I’ve missed ? Wouldn’t be dangerous to repeat it on an already unlocked phone?

It doesn’t hurt to try again…. Just don’t unlock it again… restore to a fresh 1.1.4 and try again (do a data backup beforehand)…
aaah, I’am so stupid. Latest checked option was Cydia and I’ve skipped it. I will run the process again and this time I will only check to install Cydia and not unlock it again. In theory it should do the job.

ziphone is great but has almost half the amount of apps then jailbreakme… But ziphone works on 1.1.3. That’s the good thing
